Imagine This Women’s Film Festival is going Virtual! The annual 5th film festival handpicked festival-worthy titles available for cinephiles to watch from home via Apple TV, Roku, Android TV as well as screencast from computers and mobile devices.
From September 25th to October 4th, #ITWIFF20 will be presenting more than 70 films, talkbacks, live panels, fireside chats, screenplay competition table reads, and special events. Made by women, for everyone.
Headlining ITWIFF free special events, The “Storytelling Redefined Panel: Telling Authentic BIPOC Stories” panel will feature executive producer, writer, and director Amy J. Aniobi (Insecure, 2 Dope Queens, and Honeymoon); director Kelly Park (Country Comfort, Alexa & Katie, The Neighborhood, and Family Reunion); actress and director Lynn Chen (Shameless, Silicon Valley, and I Will Make You Mine); writer and executive producer Dayna Lynne North (Young Love, Insecure, and Single Ladies); Oge Egbuonu ( In Visible Portraits, Eye In The Sky and Loving); and director and producer Shirley V. Williams (Refinery29, Alone, Intent to Destroy: Death, Denial & Depiction).
A Fireside chat with Felicia Pride. Felicia Pride is a Film / TV writer and an emerging director. She has been a writer for two seasons on Ava DuVernay’s QUEEN SUGAR and currently writes on GREY’S ANATOMY. She sold a drama pilot, a book adaptation, to NBC’s Universal Cable Productions. She also sold the feature DEEPER, an erotic romance, to Universal Pictures with Will Packer Productions producing. She is the co-writer and executive producer of the film REALLY LOVE, produced by MACRO, which won a Special Grand Jury Prize at SXSW. She recently made her directorial debut with tender, a short film she also wrote, which premiered at Outfest Fusion.
