For some people, entrepreneurship has always been a dream career. For others, it’s an opportunity brought on by life’s unexpected series of events. 24 year old Briana Davis experienced the latter, when the vision for her company The Alabaster Box Body Care blossomed from an unexpected tragedy.
She recalls the idea being born, after the upcoming birthday of her late grandmother brought on a restless night of sleep.
“That night I tried everything to sleep, but I couldn’t. My heart was uneasy. Then God simply said ‘The Alabaster Box Body Care.’ I was confused so I tried to ignore it.”
However, the thought wasn’t going away that easy. She finally gave in, listened to that voice and wrote down the name. The next morning she took the steps to turn that stubborn thought into action, launching her brand of May this year.
The Alabaster Box offers 100% natural and homemade body care with whipped body butters, sugar scrubs, yoni steaming mixes, and deodorants. A healing serum (for eczema, aging, scars) will be available July 2.
More than just a beauty brand, Briana makes sure to provide one of a kind service, tailored to each customer.
“I teach my customers, I give them advice, I customize my products to fit their needs, etc. Simply put, we educate and in turn, heal.”See Also
In the future, The Alabaster Box will have it’s own store featuring a yoni steaming studio for customers. While the skin care entrepreneurial field grows, Briana stays determined knowing that her hard work has and will continue to pay off.
“Nothing in this world will be given to you. It’s okay if someone else has the same ideas as you. Your season is your season and no one else’s.”
